Archived News from the Fall 2005 league.
[ January 27th, 2006 ]
We're now fully in Round 2 of the playoffs, with Montreal and St. louis already making it to the semifinals, St. Louis even coming back from a 3-1 hole.
[ January 21st, 2006 ]
The playoffs have been under way, and almost all of Round 1 has been played. A few teams have started to play their Round 2 games. Keep up the good work everyone, and good luck!
[ January 7th, 2006 ]
The playoffs page has been updated and we're ready to start playoffs! Please contact your opponent to setup game times, and post the scores as your normally would on the forum.
And I quote from Jeff:
"Please try to have your 1st round series completed by 11:59 EST Sunday Jan 15th or sooner. If not a single game has been played by then, we may have a problem.
You may use the NHL'94 League schedule board to arrange a game time for your series, and I suggest you use the board to set up game times. This may show us which coach is the no-show, in the unfortunate event one team is forced to forfeit."
[ December 28th, 2005 ]
And I quote from Jeff:
"The deadline for regular season games to be finished is 11:59 Friday night, January 6th EST.
Please set up game times if you need to through the league schedule forum. If one party attempts to set up a game time and the second party does not respond, the first person will be awarded win(s) if the game is not played.
Come January 7th all the games will have final scores next to them. Please don't make me fill in the blanks."
[ December 4th, 2005 ]
We will be updating the playoffs page with information and matchups. Keep on eye on that page, and lets try to finish up the league games by December 14th!
[ November 28th, 2005 ]
The 7 teams in the East have been decided. For Round 1, Boston will be playing Hartford, Montreal will be playing the Rangers, and Toronto will be playing Quebec. Philadelphia gets a BYE week. The West remains undecided.
The sooner teams finish their games, the sooner we can start playoffs!
[ November 21st, 2005 ]
We're getting close to the end of the season. We will try to have playoff rules and setup on the website soon. Five teams have now finished their regular season games.
[ November 6th, 2005 ]
Battles Continue!
Boston wins a pair, and Montreal loses a pair to fall into 3rd place in the East. St. Louis takes 2 against Chicago to tie for 1st place in the West.
[ October 26th, 2005 ]
Calgary takes 1st place in the West!
In a pretty tight race in the West, Calgary takes two critical games over St. Louis in the battle for first place. Should be an exciting end to the season here.
Boston comes up big winning 4 straight games!
After losing 2 games to the rival Montreal, Boston comes out with 4 straight victories to stay in the race in the East.
Luciano Borsato has been one of the few positive things
of Winnipeg's season. |

Full Schedule is done!
Each team's full schedule is now posted on the schedule page. You may have to right-click on the actual schedule and hit refresh for it to update.
A couple of notes regarding the schedule:
1 - If it says you're playing Buffalo on the nhl92.com page, that is the equivalent to having a BYE WEEK. Everyone gets 1 BYE WEEK and will play a total of 30 games.
2 - All conference games will be split where a team is home for the first game, and then the other team is home for the 2nd game. The inter-conference games are played where 1 team is home for both.
[ October 12th, 2005 ]
Rule Stated
There was a questioned rule, and I updated the rules page about it. It basically is this:
When playing you're 2 games against your opponent, whoever is the hometeam remains the hometeam for BOTH games. This goes for every week BUT week 9. In week 9, you each play as the hometeam for 1 game. Please follow these guidelines for the remainder of the games, and sorry for any confusion.
We will hopefully have more of the schedule ready soon, so keep up the great games!
-Evan
[ October 9th, 2005 ]
The season is moving along, and as you can see, some teams are playing games ahead of schedule. There is a schedule link at the top, which you can see your own schedule from.
Note: Buffalo has dropped from the league, Jeff will be adjusting the schedule soon.
[ October 6th, 2005 ]
Season Underway!
The schedule for the first week of the season is posted in the League Forums under "NHL'94 League Schedule". As you can see, there has already been a couple games played. Don't forget to contact who you're playing!
[ October 5th, 2005 ]
We have our teams and coaches setup, separated into 2 divisions East and West. Please refer to the League Forums for more information regarding questions and comments with league play and rules.
[ October 1st, 2005 ]
This league will only be a Genesis league due to the large number of Genesis registrations, and small amount of SNES registrations. Please visit the League Forums, we're drafting teams through Tuesday night.
Also, we recommend GensPlus for the emulator of choice for this league because it has the recording feature, though Gens works too. You can download the emulator below.
[ September 26th, 2005 ]
*** For NHL94 online players. *** There's a kailleraclient.dll that was created by Anti3d.com which allows you to view the servers when connecting to kaillera through Gens, Gens Plus, Snes9k, and other emulators. You can download here. Simply extract this zip file into your emulator of choice's folder, and you should see the kaillera server list again.
[ September 22nd, 2005 ]
The Fall 2005 online league is forming now, and will start around October 5th. We are hosting a Genesis league. The standings to the right of this text show the current conference setup. This will all depend on how many people sign up, so don't think what you see is set in stone. If you are interested in joining, you can register by clicking the link below. Please read the rules before signing up!
